How I fell in love with Epsa
Since I was a toddler I spent most of my holidays in Greece: my parents found this little piece of heaven called Horto, a small town overlooking Pagasitikos Gulf, near bigger towns Milina and Argalasti, one hour by car from Volos. Thirty and more years have gone by, I still use to spend my holidays in Horto once every two or three years; one of the things I remember from my childhood that still rocks my days in Greece now is this soft drink from Epsa. Actually there are two of them I really love, lemonada and portokalada (which are lemonade and orangeade). I found good lemonades outside Greece and Magnisia region, but none tastes like Epsa Lemonada; and I bet you can’t find an orangeade better then Epsa Portokalada on earth!
In 1996 I started bringing home a couple of bottles at the end of each summer. They piled along the years, first in my bedroom, then in my living room since I left my parent’s home, who keep on taking home those two bottles for me when I spend my holidays elsewhere.
My collection today runs from 1996 to 2011; I don’t know what happened in 2008 but I miss two pieces, two bottles with expiration date marked 2009: I probably drank them… I hope one day I’ll find these two pieces, I’m gonna get in touch with Epsa to see if they keep old bottles somewhere!
